Old Man Winter has us in his icy grip once again. Normally this would not deter us from handing out free beer, however, with as much as 5 more inches on top of what we already have by 6:00pm tonight we thought it might be best to reschedule this one.
There'll be enough cars in ditches as it is, we don't want to add to the mess!
We have rescheduled the Lift Bridge sampling to March 8th.
We'll send out another reminder closer to the date. Thanks for understanding!

Brasserie Dupont Avril- This is a saison that comes in at 3.4% ABV, but has some awesome bready and citrus flavors going on. Best part is you can drink the entire 750 ml bottle and not get knocked out!
Moorehouse Mild- This one also comes in at 3.4% and is one of the only bottled milds on the market. A mild is dark brown in color, a hint of sweetness up front with mild roasty and nutty flavors throughout.
Anchor Small Beer- This beer is made from the same grains as Anchor's Old Foghorn Barleywine. The first runnings are used for the Old Foghorn, then the grains are steeped again and the result is a 3.3% ABV tasty session beer.
Sterkens White Ale- One of our favorite Belgian Wits. This one has a vibrant Meyer lemon aroma with rustic grainy and citrus flavors followed up by a refreshing tartness in the finish.
There are many more- stop in and we'll tell you all about them!

Our distributor needs to make room for the new upcoming Whole Hog beers, so they are giving us an unbelievable price on the current three varieties and we're passing on the savings to you.
Imperial Pilsner is a big malty pilsner with a nice noble hop kick in the finish. 8.5% ABV
Six Hop IPA is a very drinkable double IPA. 8.5% ABV
Pumpkin Ale is a big 7.5% ABV spiced pumpkin ale.
The same importer who gave us back Rodenbach is importing Steenbrugge, spiced Belgian ales. We currently have a Dubbel and an Tripel that have been brewed with a herb/spice mixture called Gruit. Here's a little bit about it from the importers website:
"Every city used to have its own beer with its own distinctive character. In Bruges, the character was determined by an herbal mixture the brewers were obliged to purchase from the city's herbal house, known as the Gruuthuse. For the brewing of STEENBRUGGE Abbey beer this medieval tradition was continued. The fathers of St Peter's Abbey in Steenbrugge also enriched their beer with gruit."
Some of you might remember this time last year we bought a climate controlled cellar fridge and loaded it up with Barley Wines, Quads, Impy Stouts and Lambics. The idea being to eventually be able to sell vintage beers. Now for the very first time the "Firkin Vault" is open and we have a limited number of 2009 bigfoot bottles for sale!
These bottles have been kept at a constant 47 deg since January last year. Bigfoot is a beer that will age well if kept in the proper conditions. The heat from the alcohol will mellow out, as does the hop bitterness and more subtle flavors start to shine through.
Now you can try a one year old Bigfoot right next to the 2010 brew and see how it's changed!
The 2009 bottles are $4.99 each and very limited...
